Conversely, the 530i xDrive comes equipped with a turbo four-cylinder that produces a respectable 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. With its lower power figures and heavier curb weight, the vehicle takes 6.1 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, with a top speed of 210 km/h.

Interior Comfort & Technology

When it comes to the interior cabin, the two vehicles take radically different approaches. The Ghibli maintains a traditional dashboard layout, with its analog & digital gauge cluster nestled behind the steering wheel, separate from the centre touchscreen display. Quilted leather seats, suede and alcantara accents, as well as contrast stitching accentuate the vehicle’s opulent and elegant nature.

On the other hand, the 5-Series’ embraces a modern and minimalist interior design, with two large horizontal, tablet-style displays prominently placed on the dashboard. An ambient interior lighting bar, panoramic sunroof, and an available 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system round out the vehicle’s interior ambience
